Lindbergh High School EMT Program
In Fall 2024, Mehlville Fire Protection District launched its High School EMT Program, offering students at Lindbergh High School a unique opportunity to gain life-saving skills and pursue a career in emergency medical services. This innovative program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training, providing students with the knowledge and experience needed to respond to medical emergencies with confidence and professionalism.
Upon completing the program, students will be fully prepared to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam, the first step toward becoming a licensed EMT. By integrating rigorous coursework with real-world scenarios, this program ensures students graduate with a solid foundation in patient care, emergency response, and teamwork—key elements of a successful career in EMS.
Mehlville Fire is committed to expanding this program to other high schools in the area, fostering a new generation of skilled and compassionate emergency responders. By offering this pathway to certification, we empower students to make a meaningful impact in their communities while addressing the growing need for qualified EMTs. Together, we’re shaping the future of emergency medical care.
