A Knox Box is a small, wall-mounted safe that holds building keys for fire departments and other emergency services that allows emergency personnel to reduce access time and minimize forced entry damage.
You are responsible for purchasing and installing your own Knox Box. When your installation is complete, call the Fire Prevention Bureau to arrange for us to come to your location. We will secure the key to your home or facility in the Knox Box. We hold a master key to all Knox Boxes in our response area. In the event of an emergency, we would use our master key to open your Knox Box and gain entry to your home or facility.
A Knox Box may be purchased online www.knoxbox.com/5097.
Call the Fire Prevention Bureau with any questions.
