The Mehlville Fire Protection District is proud to offer the Fundamentals of Critical Care Transport course, designed to prepare healthcare professionals for the challenges of transporting critically ill patients. This comprehensive course provides hands-on training and advanced education to enhance the skills needed for managing complex medical emergencies in dynamic environments.
Participants will learn critical topics such as airway management, advanced mechanical ventilation, and the use of non-invasive strategies like NPPV. The program also covers ABG interpretation, field thoracostomy techniques, and the administration of blood products. Specialized instruction on focus-guided resuscitation, cardio-hemodynamics with advanced pharmacology, neonatal and HIROB critical care transport, and advanced ECG management ensures that attendees are equipped to handle the unique needs of acutely ill patients.
Upon completion of the course, students will be certified as Critical Care Providers.
