There will be a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. One (1) Director for the Mehlville Fire Protection District will be elected for a six (6) year term.

An individual wishing to be a candidate for election should file a Declaration of Candidacy between December 10, 2024, at 8:00 am and December 31, 2024, at 5:00 pm. Candidates will file at District Temporary Headquarters, 5721 South Lindbergh Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm on weekdays. Filing will be open until 5:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024.

Candidates will be listed on the ballot in the order in which they file. Candidates filing on December 10 will form a line in the outer lobby of Temporary Headquarters and follow instructions as indicated. Filing will begin at 8:00 a.m. Candidates may only use that entrance when filing. During the filing period, if the election official is out of the office, candidates who appear at Temporary Headquarters for filing may register their name and make an appointment. Candidate filing will be closed on December 24 and 25, 2024.

A candidate shall be a resident and voter of the Mehlville Fire Protection District for at least one (1) year prior to the election and be over the age of twenty-four years. A candidate cannot be delinquent in payment of taxes, no exceptions. A candidate must make a statement under oath that they possess the required qualifications. The filing fee is $100.00 and identification will be required. The District Temporary Headquarters is the sole filing place for this candidacy.
