December is a busy month in our community, and that is equally true at your trusted Mehlville Fire Department. In addition to being the go-to fire rescue services provider in our area, we also spent time connecting with our community. This December we hosted a Santa Sunday and Open House event for members of our community to visit our firehouse and get a picture taken with Santa, plus we have even more exciting upcoming events scheduled for January 2026!
At the Mehlville Fire Department, we take great pride in serving the St. Louis, MO community, dedicating ourselves to keeping every member of our community safe as well as finding new ways to give back. It is an honor to serve, and we are grateful for the support of our community and the residents we protect and serve.
Celebrating The Holidays Together—Thank You for Attending Santa Saturday At Mehlville Fire
On December 6th, our community came together to enjoy a magical day of fellowship and holiday cheer at our Santa Sunday and Open House event, and we couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who joined us. It was wonderful to see so many members of our community gathered in one place, enjoying the holiday spirit as their children met and had photos taken with Santa.
We’d also like to thank our on-duty crews and administrative staff, whose hard work and holiday cheer made the day run smoothly. Events like this are only possible because of the dedication of our exceptional team and our generous community partners like S&A Donuts, Dave Mungenast Honda, and St. Louis First Responder Canteen, and of course our Santa, all of whom helped to make this day a memorable and fun holiday event for all the families in our community.
We look forward to celebrating with all again next Christmas season and making even more joyful holiday memories for years to come.

Mehlville Fire Department And Mercy South Launched New EMS Transport Team
Mercy South and the Mehlville Fire Department have enhanced local patient care and transportation by launching a joint EMS transport team. Mehlville Fire has supported this initiative by hiring two crews of dedicated and experienced EMTs and paramedics whose sole focus will be on patient transfer operations.
This new EMS transport division will work closely with the experienced medical team at Mercy Hospital South, ensuring that all patients receive the same level of first-class care from start to finish.
