Mehlville Fire Protection District (MFPD) provides Fire, EMS, and Mobile Integrated Health to the communities we serve. We cover 52 square miles and respond to over 17,000 calls per year. MFPD has an excellent reputation for quality pre-hospital care. MFPD offers a unique opportunity for Critical Care Paramedics to join a team of first responders within our high-performing EMS system.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work four or five 24-hour shifts per pay period (2,920 hours per year)
  • Must possess a current Missouri EMT-P License
  • Must possess a current Driver’s License
  • Preferred, but not required, St. Louis County Fire Academy training
  • Preferred, but not required, certifications include ACLS, PALS, PHTLS or ITLS, and AMLS
  • Ability to meet the physical demands and perform essential functions of the position, including regular attendance
  • Preference will be given to applicants with EMS experience

Wages:

  • $68,982 starting wage, $98,449 after four years of service
