Mehlville Fire Protection District (MFPD) provides Fire, EMS, and Mobile Integrated Health to the communities we serve. We cover 52 square miles and respond to over 17,000 calls per year. Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work ten 24-hour shifts per month
  • Must hold current and valid Missouri State RN license
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in either:
    1. An adult level 1 or level 2 trauma center emergency department and TNCC & CEN
    2. Helicopter EMS agency that responds to scene flights and CFRN
  • Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • EMT/Paramedic certification
  • Ground EMS experience
  • Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
  • ICU experience
  • CCRN certifications
  • ATCN certifications
  • ATLS, PHTLS, and ITLS certifications
  • BSN and/or MSN


  • Initial salary is $80,123 annually, plus an additional $7,000 after passing the Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) course
  • After one year, $87,663 annually, plus an additional $7,000 for the CCP certification for a total of $94,663
  • After two years, $94,263 annually, plus an additional $7,000 for the CCP certification for a total of $101,263
