Station House #6 is located in the
most Southern most region of the Mehlville Fire Protection District. This
engine house was built in 1978 to help reduce the response time to that
area. This station was added on to in 1998 for a apparatus maintenance
shop. The engine house and its crew serve an area largely made up of
younger and up and coming professionals with families as well as older
more established blue collar workers and their children . This station is
home to pumper 1760 with three personnel assigned. There is also a reserve
pumper, reserve 75 aerial ladder, reserve ambulance and the Trench and
Shoring Unit. On the South side of the building is the Mechanic Shop where
the Mechanics service the districts vehicles using a regular maintenance
program. This station is the slowest station of the Mehlville Fire
Protection District. This station serves an area that has the Mississippi
River on the East. The Intersection of Telegraph & Christopher on the
North and the Meramec River on the South & West Side . This station is
approximately 6500 square feet and the shop is 5000 square feet.
