Station House #4 was built in 1964. Due to the enormous
population growth at that time voters approved a $160,000 bond issue in
order to construct this station house and purchase more equipment. This
engine house and its crew serve the needs of a population complexity made up
of apartment dwellers, suburbanites, varied business interests, a major
hospital, retirement centers and even some farming area. This engine house
is home to a 75 aerial ladder 1742 with rescue capabilities manned with
three personnel and ALS ambulance 1747 manned with two Paramedics. This
station is the forth busiest in the Mehlville Fire Protection District.
This station covers I-55 on the East side I-270 to the North and the Meramec
River on the South and West side. This station is approximately 5400 square
feet.
